Product Failure Mode Setup

There are three setup tables where product failure modes can be configured. Before setting up failure modes, it is important to first understand how each table works.

Setup	Description
Product Failure Modes	Set up any failures that could occur for any products (internal/external) under this setup table (Delivery, Quantity Failures).
Product Line Failure Modes	Set up any failures that could occur for any parts attached to the associated product line (product line specific failures).
Part Failure Modes	Set up any failures that could occur only for the specified part number.

All failure modes above are set up under the Product Failure Mode setup table. No matter which Product is selected, all failure modes above will be displayed.
Incorrect Component	High	Manufacturing	Any Finished Good	All
Missing Label	Medium	Packaging	Any Finished Good	All
Failed Final QC	High	Manufacturing	Any Finished Good	All
All three failure modes directly above would be set up in the Product Line Table under the Finished Goods product line. These failure modes would show up as applicable failures for any parts from this product line.
Power Failure	Medium	Electrical	Electrical Product	All
The failure mode directly above would be set up in the Part table under the Electrical Product part. This failure mode would show up as an applicable failure only for this specific part.
Temperature Exception	High	Environment	Temp Controlled Product	All
The failure mode directly above would be set up in the Part table under the Temp Controlled part. This failure mode would show up as an applicable failure only for this specific part.
Incorrect Potency	High	Chemical	Pharma Product	All
The failure mode directly above would be set up in the Part table under the Pharma Product part. This failure mode would show up as an applicable failure only for this specific part number.
